World Polio Day happens on the 24th of October every year, commemorating the birthday of American Scientist Jonas Salk, who developed the first polio vaccine in 1955. At Polio Network Victoria, we hold an annual event for Polio Day as an opportunity to gather as a community and share experiences and knowledge in navigating and enjoying a fulfilling life with Polio. ​
